End of June our our Spanish partners Functional Print with BC Materials hosted their first training introducing teachers, researchers and industry professionals to functional printing. In three days the 40 participants learned about sustainable materials, advanced inks and hands-on manufacturing of functional devices such as piezoresistive sensors (reporting the change in a material’s electrical resistance) or electrochromic displays (flexible, printable displays). Another highlight was the technical visit to Gaiker Technology Center, where participants explored research lines in biotechnology, recycled plastics and composites, sustainable polymers, and the circular economy.
The next training about additive manufacturing will be on October 1st in Leipzig, Germany
