Celebrating Best Practices in Vocational Education with INFINITE

On October 10th and 11th, 2024, the Latvian National Agency for Education, Training, and Youth under the Erasmus+ Programme hosted a Training and Experience Exchange Seminar. This dynamic event brought together experts to discuss the development of vocational education institutions and the impactful role of international partnership projects.

A highlight of the seminar was the best practice presentation of the Erasmus+ project INFINITE, delivered by Ilgmārs Purmalis from the Latvian Electrical Engineering and Electronics Industry Association and Sigita Jasinska from Ogres tehnikums. Participants were introduced to the ambitious goals of INFINITE, which focuses on bridging skill gaps in printed, flexible, and organic electronics (PFOE) and fostering a sustainable future through innovative vocational training.

The INFINITE team shared insights into the project’s challenges, planned outcomes, and strategies to ensure quality and sustainability. As a Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) initiative, INFINITE stood out as an example of how international collaboration can drive progress in education and workforce development.

This two-day seminar emphasized the importance of partnerships and opened avenues for fruitful exchanges, strengthening Europe’s vocational education network.
