Germany stands at the forefront of flexible, printed, and organic electronics (PFOE) innovation. The Organic Electronics Saxony (OES) cluster leads the way, producing cost-efficient organic solar foils, flexible displays, printed OLEDs, and a variety of printed sensors. Covering the entire value chain from material synthesis to finished products, OES highlights the urgent need for skilled workers. The new master class in Organic and Molecular Electronics (OME) at EQF 7 addresses this, but further training for EQF levels 3-5 is essential. The country’s renowned dual VET system combines theoretical and practical training, ensuring a robust education model that continues to evolve with industry demands.
